The fees charges by property brokers in Germany is partly regulated and partly determined by the market.

Since the end of 2020 sales commission in Germany has been newly regulated.
It is now not permitted that the buyer pays more commission to the real estate agent than the seller.
In many cases the buyer will now pay 3% plus VAT. In some cases all of the commission will be charged to the seller and thus commission free for the buyer.
